Are you excited????
I have noticed over the last couple of days that everytime I tell someone about where I am going they almost all have the same expression...(worried) OOOOOHH!! Are you excited? My response is "I am very excited". It is interesting how people respond to the country and sometimes just not knowing anything about the country they are fast to judge. Oh well!!

Funny that you say that because I would have a totally different response, like, "Wow! That's amazing! I would love to see what that country is like."
Your making a commitment to the Peace Corps is very admirable and will serve to be an incredible adventure you never forget. Unfortunately, not all of us are very adventurous. But don't worry about the reactions you're getting - deep down they probably would like to be brave enough to do what you're about to do.
I wish you the best!
Hi Jeff,
I will be going with you to Mongolia on May 31st! I am going to be a Health Extension volunteer and I got my invitation last month. Congratulations on your invitation! I look forward to meeting you and talking more with you soon. If you want you can find me on Facebook and we can talk more there. See you soon!

I think it is completely awesome! However, I do understand. My aunt and uncle are missionaries in China and when I say anything about that people get this really sad face and say "Oh my gosh, why????" All I can ever say is that they felt thats where they needed to be. My aunt says its wonderful but she misses her family but other than that she loves it. I hope that you have the same wonderful experiences.
How nice for you to be able to travel and work at the same time. I think you will learn more from working in the Peace Corp than you would watching PBS or attending classes. I am so happy for you--
